Tana Toraja is one regency which is located in South Sulawesi. It is located about 328 kilometers at the north of Makassar city. Makassar is the capital city of South Sulawesi. Tana Toraja is located in the 300 until 2880 meters from sea level. Its temperature is about 16-28 celcius. Actually, Tana Toraja has much big potential to be developed. In the first time, when you are visiting Tana Toraja, you will find Salubarani. Salubrani is frontier area of Tana Toraja between Enrekang Regency (Enrekang is the one regency of South Sulawesi). Makale Pool. Makale is the governmental city of Tana Toraja Regency. In Makale, the traveler could find a big pool. In the middle of this pool, there is a big statue which is named Statue of Lakipadada. This pool is good place for any traveler to take a rest and enjoy its beautiful of mountain. From this pool you could see all these beautiful mountains.
Tilangga. Tilangga is a bath place which is located in sub – district of North Makale. It about 11 meters from Makale city. It is looked like a pool. The source of this spring comes from the natural mountain. This water passes through many stones. So the traveler could feel the fresh air. The important thing that this spring will never be dry along the year. In this pool, the ell is alive. This ell is not dangerous for traveler, even based on local belief, every traveler who sees the ell – they will get some luckies.
Lemo. It is located about 9 kilometers from the north of Makale city. The tourism object which is located at the sub-district of North Makale. It has grave stone with many chisel statues. Tana Toraja Land Pangopango New Agro-Tourism
Tana Toraja is the part of South Sulawesi – Makassar. Tana Toraja land is one regency which South Sulawesi has. Nowadays, Tana Toraja is developing tourism with current basic of environment. This innovation makes Pangopango is going to be the tourism object and agro-tourism. Pangopango is located at the Sapan village and To’ Sapan village, South Makale sub – district or about 7 km from Makale, the central city of Tana Toraja Regency – South Sulawesi. Actually, Pangopango is located in the middle if some sub district also. At the north, it is adjacent to Makale city. At the east is adjacent to Mengkendek sub – district. At the west is adjacent to Bonggokaradeng sub – district and at the south, it is adjacent to Gandasali sub – district. Pangopango is looked like tropical rain forest which has a big potential to develop as natural-tourism. When we are coming into this are, you could fell the fresh air. Along its street, we could see many beautiful green plants covered this land. Along its trip, the visitor could see beautiful natural panorama with high beautiful mountain background. At the top of Pangopango with its height 1.100 meters from sea level, the visitors could see a lot of beautiful natural panorama. To develop the Pangopango’s potential as the basic of environment tourism object, The Local Government of Tana Toraja Regency is making a new innovation. Nowadays, the access to the tourism of Pangopango is still built by making a new street. Pangopango has a wonderful natural panorama. So, the local government must manage this potential, said Theolifius Allorerung, the regent of Tana Toraja Regency. Except for its natural tourism, Pangopango has a potential as the area of agro-tourism. Along the area of pangopango, there is a fresh natural spring which never stop to produce fresh water. This spring is used of many people in Tana Toraja as drink and agriculture. By using this spring, it makes fertile soil. The production of agriculture and plantation is never contaminated with dangerous substances. Because, the farmers in this area only use traditional method to manage their farm. They never use chemical substances. So, it so health to eat their production. Herbal Life is the motto of their society. The local government has planned to make Pangopango as the agro-tourism. Every visitor who comes into Tana Toraja could eat whole of its herbal production of agriculture and plantation by picking them directly from local garden. Even, along the area of Pangopango will be made as the example of passion fruit, tamarillo, and carrot. In 2012, the local government of Tana Toraja regency had made a big budget for this planning. They spend about 2 billion rupiahs to build this are as agro – tourism, explained Theofilus, the regent of Tana Toraja Regency.
Suhom Waterfall
As one of tourist destinations in Aceh, lots of tourists visit the Suhom waterfall either local or foreign. Of course, that’s because of the natural panoramic views around the waterfall. Around the waterfall, tourists may find durian tree. Therefore, tourists who come there in the durian season can eat durian fruit. Besides becomes the tourist destination, its raging waterfall is harnessed for powerhouse.
This waterfall includes region Suhom Village and Kreung Kala village, Lhoong sub district, Aceb Besar Regency, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam Province. The location of this tourist area can be reached from Banda Aceh by taking public transportation that takes around one hour. The route that can be traversed is Banda Aceh – Calang (Aceh Jaya). While for the tourists who go there by their own vehicle, it only takes 45 minutes.
For the tourists who want to lodge, it would be better if they go to the city of Banda Aceh. Because, in this tourist area is not available for lodging house. But for tourists who like to spend the night in the wild, there is a location for camping. Tourists should bring food and beverage, because there is no food stall in the tourist area. However, they may find some food and beverage in the city of Banda Aceh as the nearest city.
Lhok Nga Beach
The stretch of beautiful white sand in Lhok Nga makes this beach becomes of the most tourist destination in Aceh. Moreover, tourists who visit there may find diverse of white coral and snail in its sandy beach.
Besides enjoying the beauty of beach scenery while sitting and playing sandy beach; tourist can also fishing, snorkeling, sun bathing, and swimming. But one thing that should be paid attention for women travelers that they are not allowed to swimming with bikini.
Its wave height can reach 3 km that become an attraction for tourist who love surfing. For tourists who do not bring their own surfboard do not have to worry because at the sea shore lots of rental services for surfboard.
Another beauty that can be enjoyed by tourist is the atmosphere of quiet beach in the afternoon. This exoticism becomes more perfect with the beautiful panorama from the sun which is slowly disappearing on the western horizon.
Lhok Nga beach is located in Lhoknga sub district, Aceh Besar regency. The location which is close to Lampuuk Beach make this tourist area can be reached through Banda Aceh – Calang lane. The distance of Lhok Nga beach from the city of Banda Aceh is quite far compared with Lampuuk beach that is 22 km. To go there may take 40 minutes by urban public transportation. While if the tourists go there by private vehicle; it only takes 25 minutes.
It is not too different from Lampuuk beach; most of the facilities in the tourist are destroyed by tsunami. Even so, the tourists do not need to worry about food and drink. Along the beach there are lots of stalls sell food and beverages. While for the tourists who want to lodge; they had better go to the city of Banda Aceh.
Lampuuk Beach in Aceh
This beach had ever been neglected because of the tsunami brunt on 2006, but now it has already been crowded visited by tourist, especially on the weekend. The tourists who come to the beach are not only from the local tourists but also from foreign tourists.
Natural panoramic beauty of the beach becomes the magnet for the tourist. White sand that lies on the beach makes it more gorgeous. Besides that, tourists who come there can also swimming, sun-bathing, fishing, sailing, surfing, and even diving while enjoying the beauty of its underwater.
Another attraction from this tourist area is its Golf Course Seulawah with panoramic ocean background. In addition to, tourist can also enjoy the beauty of panoramic sunset that will make the beauty of the beach look more exotic.
Lampuuk Beach is located in Lhoknga sub district, Aceh Besar Regency, Aceh Province. The distance from the city of Banda Aceh is only 20 km that makes the access to this beach resort easier.
For the tourists who prefer to go by private vehicle, the line that can be passed is line of Banda Aceh – Calang (Aceh Jaya) that only takes at least 20 minutes. Meanwhile, tourists who prefer to take public transportation may take urban public transportation direction of Banda Aceh – Lhoknga that takes 35 minutes.
After the tsunami brunt, all the facilities and accommodations which are available in this beach resort also destroyed. Even so, tourists who come the beach resort do not have to worry about that because they are able to get lodging, restaurant, and other facilities in the city of Banda Aceh that are not too far from the beach resort.
Introduction to Aceh Island
Aceh is the one of interesting island in Indonesia. In the past, Aceh was called as Special Province of Aceh or “Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam” (2001-2009). Aceh is the one of Indonesia provinces which is located at the northern of Indonesia, currently in Sumatra. The capital city of Aceh is Banda Aceh. The harbor of Aceh is Malahayati-Krueng Raya, Ulee Lheue, Sabang, Lhokseumawe, and Langsa. Aceh put great memorial for Indonesia, where Aceh got a big disaster in 2004. Tsunami attacked most of Aceh Island at that moment. There are more than 100.000 people who were lost or dead – many public facilities were broken. But now, in Aceh there has been a big restoration, and now Aceh is changed into more beautiful islands. Along Aceh, you will see that there were many natural resources like forest (wood), petroleum, gold, natural gas, coffee, fish, and spices. Some of herbal spices in Aceh have a big function as herbal medicine. When we visit Aceh, we will see many unique historical, cultures, and delicious special traditional food. Aceh Island has 5 governmental cities; they are Banda Aceh, Langsa, Lhoseumawe, Sabang, and Subulussalam. Aceh has 18 regencies also. In Aceh has special weapons which looked like a letter of “L”. The name of this is “Rencong”. The traditional house of Aceh called Rumoh Aceh. This traditional house is kind of houses on stilts. This house has 3 main parts and 1 part as the additional. Those 3 main parts is seuramoë keuë (front location), seuramoë teungoh (middle location) dan seuramoë likôt(back location). The additional part is called rumoh dapu as the kitchen part. In Aceh island has 10 tribes. These 10 tribes spread out all over in Aceh Island. These 10 tribes has their own traditional dances. The familiar traditional dances are called Saman Rateb Meuseukat dance – and the other dances are Laweut, Lokok Pulo, Pho, Ratoh Duek, Bines, Munalulu. In Aceh island offers many tourism like beach. Its beach is very beautiful and exotic.
Bangka Belitung Islands | Parai Beach
Bangka Belitung Islands is the one of provinces in Indonesia. There are two main islands followed this island, they are Bangka and Belitung. Bangka Belitung Islands is located at Sumatra Islands. Bangka Belitung Islands is very familiar with its tin. Not only Bangka Belitung has a big tin sources – but it also has beautiful beach. It is called as Parai Beach. This beach is very famous – and it has been one of International Tourism. If you would like to go to Parai beach – it not too far away from Sungaliat. Sungaliat is the Capital City of Bangka Regency. Actually Sungaliat got the predicate as one cleanest capital city in Indonesia. Why ? – because Sungalit got Adipura honor at 1997 and 2005. Adipura is an honor that was given by the Central Government to each cities – which has the best cleaning services. Parai beach offers the exoticism as a beach. When you visit Parai Beach, you will see there are much white sands, beautiful of panorama beach, the wonderful shoreline, and most of unique thing is you could find granite stone – with white colored – the special thing from Bangka. At the end of beach, you will see the resort building named The Rock Islands. They both are connected with bridge. Along this area, there are The Rock Islands Grill and Bar. This resort service its customer with barbeque and seafood – where each visitor could chose – and baked their order by their own self. At the night, you could find the romantic scene – where there are many lamps lighting –which spread along this beach. I believe you will never find this thing at other places. Parai is taken from traditional language in Bangka – which is meant the fin of mackerel fish. If you would like to visit this beach, you could also use bus or taxi – which costs about five thousand rupiahs or one hundred thousand rupiahs - in dollar US about $5 or $10 from Pangkal Pinang City. As long as you are in Parai beach, you will enjoy any reservations with high class hotel – which is familiar with Parai Beach Resort. This exclusive hotel costs about forty hundred thousand rupiahs or two million rupiahs – in dollar US about $40 or $200 per night. You will never be disappointed to visit this island.
Java Island – Jakarta to Bandung
Jakarta and Bandung are located in Java Island. These cities are one of the biggest cities – in which many islands at Indonesia. Jakarta is the capital city and Bandung is the technology cities at Indonesia. These cities have big roles in Java Islands – even to whole Indonesian Islands. They bring a new concept for some Indonesian Islands which is low in economic, education, social, and new politic concept. We could see – that there are many scientists from Java Island including Jakarta and Bandung develop some Indonesian Cities. We could see from the history of Indonesia. For instance BJ. Habibie who lives at Bandung – he had made a big concept of science – mainly technology of plane. He was from ITB (Bandung Technology Institute) although just one semester – and he continued his study at German in technology concentration. Jakarta is as the biggest population in Indonesia – makes its citizen being busy, stress. How come? – because they have face many traffic jams, and other problems in economic or social. It has been happened into many cities in Indonesia – mainly from Java Islands. It could be happened – because the central of populations are concentrated at Java – otherwise there are many islands that could be lived in such as Moluccas, Papua , or Borneo. These islands are far away from Java – but it has a big potential in natural resources, economic, social, tourism, and even cultures. To face the stress of many Jakarta people – one solution for them is using travelling. But travelling is cheap and – it could be reached for them. You could travel to Europe or America – but unfortunately it is too expensive for many people in Indonesia – mainly using dollars not rupiahs. How is it? You may travel Jakarta to Bandung by using train – to avoid traffic jam which is named Argo Parahyangan’s train. Yes it is very expensive – where you are only spending about sixty thousand rupiahs in usual day – and it costs about eighty thousand rupiahs for holiday. In dollar, you just spend $ 6 (usual day) or $ 8 (holiday). Along your trip, you would see many beautiful sceneries such as mountain, wet rice field, high tree – where you would never see at Jakarta. It spends about seven times routes of your trip. In Argo Parahyangan, they serve you in food, clean, and getting a massage as exclusive trains. This is the unique of your travelling “getting a massage” – where you could not find at other trips. When you have arrived at Bandung, you could visit Gedung Sate or “Sate Building”. This building is the artifact of Dutch colonial era. It would bring you into historical era.
Padang Mountain or Siti Nurbaya Mountain
Now, my posting will explain about one city at Indonesia Islands – it is called Padang. Padang is located at Sumatra Island. Padang has a big role in developing of Indonesian Islands. Padang is the central city of West Sumatra. When you visit this city, you would know that – this city has been formed as advanced city at west Sumatra. This city has many facilities – that support it as the advanced city. This city has many complete public services such as hospital, a good road, a good buildings, health service, even education. This city has a lot of uniqueness. One of them is Padang Mountain. It is located not too far away from Padang. It is about 1 km to get there – from the west of Padang city – and about 26 km from Minangkabau International Airport. If you are newcomer – and you want to visit this beautiful mountain, you could find many meaningful varieties of cultures, social, and historical. The value of culture side – you could see people will help each other. They want to help each other honestly – without money visions. Most of the people who live at this mountain – are very respectful and kind to the tourist. Along the journey to Padang Mountain, you will find the amazing beautiful scenery. The scenery – at high of Padang Mountain will cover with the sea. Location of Padang Mountain is near by the sea. At the top of this mountain, you will find the grave of Siti Nurbaya – a familiar tale from Padang. Whole story of “Siti Nurbaya” has close meaning into true love. Many people who live around this mountain – also called this mountain with Siti Nurbaya Mountain. Along this “Padang Mountain or – “Siti Nurbaya Mountain” – you will find some hotels, or lodging for the night. So you don’t have to be careful – while climbing this mountain. While you are climbing this mountain, you could walk some ladders – which called “Ladder of Siti Nurbaya”. In your journey, you will find the old fortress of Dutch. It is used by Dutch soldiers to face Japan soldier in 2nd war. In this old fortress, you would find the big canon – this canon has about 30 tons weights. These are the some historical artifact for the history of Indonesian Islands. A little explanation to South Celebes Island Pinisi
Now when you are visiting to Makassar, you will be familiar with Pinisi. Pinisi is a tradional boat from South Celebes. Pinisi is very useful for the people at Makassar at the past. The tribes – at South Celebes – which familiar with this boat – are Bugis and Makassar. These tribes has a deep skill to make this boat – where are these skills - only been had by Bugis Makassar people. Their skill could not be imitated by other people at whole places even whole the world. This skill had been got by them from their ancestor. Many people said that Pinisi is related to the history of Sawerigading. Sawerigading is king of Luwu ( now it is one regency – which at the past time (for many thousand years ago) – it was a kingdom at Celebes Island). At the first time, Sawerigading is separated from his sister named We Tenriabeng – but in other times- they meet together unpredicted. Suddenly, Sawerigading fell in love to his sister. Directly, this relationship is surely forbidden. Of course, Getting marry to our sister is a big sin. How blind and crazy the love of Sawerigading…. Hehehe…. I directly remember to the proverb said – Love is blind- it is reflected into Sawerigading story. Back to the history, Sawerigading got failed to marry his sister- and he must went out from Celebes Island – How pity is he.. hehehe. He must went to China and marry We Cudai – that he didn’t love her at all. But the depth of loves’ Sawerigading to his land – He cancelled to his promised – by went back to South Celebes, after marrying We Cudai. But at his journey, he got cursed from God, his boat was broken into three parts. The three part were at the village of Ara, Tanah Beru, and Lemo. The people at those village connected these three part – formed into a boat again. This boat is familiar – with the name of Pinisi. So when you visit those three villages, you could find skilful man by creating Pinisi boat. Pinisi is the best boat – that Indonesia Islands had. Why because Pinisi is the biggest boat and most difficult to be created than other traditional boat at Indonesia. You could imagine – in creating Pinisi need one years – which is created by ten people – one Pinisi. Most of the people don’t have a plan even sketch before – they just make by using their experience and knowledge from their ancestor. This one is the reason why the price of Pinisi is very expensive. One Pinisi cost thousand millions rupiahs. Pinisi is very familiar into whole the world – because Pinisi is a strong boat and – Pinisi had waded across many continent such as Afrika and Asia. At Ara, Tanah Beru, and Lemo you could also buy some miniature of Pinisi – which is costed only thousands rupiahs until millions rupiahs. It is good optional for the people that doesn’t have much money. Those villages usually get an order from outside of Makassar or Indonesia such Australia, England or Dutch, and other Indonesian Islands. The another unique things is – how to take Pinisi from the land into the sea. You know it takes two months. How great of creating Pinisi and South Celebes Culture had. Now this the end of my writing.
