Indonesian Islands

For this session, I would like to share my explanation about Indonesia. Indonesia is the one of big country that has many islands covered it. Indonesia consists of many islands, wide sea, a lot of wealth, and surely a lot of people. You could imagine Indonesia has more 200 billion people now (2011). When Indonesia has a lot of wealth’s, directly we could understand that Indonesia has a big potential in economic, tourism, and even culture side. So as the investor who has some money, you don’t have to be afraid of investing your money at Indonesia.

 Indonesia has many islands even Indonesia called “The Greatest of Archipelago Country” in the world. The question is “why” because Indonesia has 13.487 islands. The system of government in Indonesia is Republic, so Indonesia is also called Republic of Indonesia. Indonesia has some big lands more than 13.487 lands. These lands have a big role to develop Indonesia in the world. There are some land which is the central of people, economic, tourism, and governmental.  These islands are Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Celebes, Papua, Moluccas and the last is “Nusa Tenggara”. The symbol of this country is mythical bird. The motto of Indonesia is “Bhineka Tunggal Ika “. It was taken from old java language that meant “Having a different types but One Unity”. From this philosophy, we could see that Indonesia has a big unity for each island. In each islands in Indonesia consist of 33 provinces. The central capital in Indonesia is Jakarta, but it also some biggest city  in each lands such as Makassar where I live, Surabaya, Bandung, and also Medan. The word of Indonesia are taken from Latin “Indus” meant Hindia, and Greece “Nesos” meant Island, so directly we could translate that Indonesia means The Islands In Hindia. Indonesia has many tribes within each islands. The most dominant is Java. The other tribes are Toraja, Bugis, Makassar, Batak, Dayak, Arfak at Papua, Madura, Sunda and etc. If you try to learn more these tribes, you could find that they have something uniqueness from the others. These things that make Indonesian tribes are different from other countries and remember that you could not find it towards other places whole world. In their traditional house, food, herbal medicine, and their sacred ceremony,they all are different. We could see that how great potential to this country.
