Tana Toraja land is one regency which South Sulawesi has. Nowadays, Tana Toraja is developing tourism with current basic of environment.  This innovation makes Pangopango is going to be the tourism object and agro-tourism. Pangopango is located at the Sapan village and To’ Sapan village, South Makale sub – district or about 7 km from Makale, the central city of Tana Toraja Regency – South Sulawesi. Actually, Pangopango is located in the middle if some sub district also. At the north, it is adjacent to Makale city. At the east is adjacent to Mengkendek sub – district. At the west is adjacent to Bonggokaradeng sub – district and at the south, it is adjacent to Gandasali sub – district. Pangopango is looked like tropical rain forest which has a big potential to develop as natural-tourism. When we are coming into this are, you could fell the fresh air. Along its street, we could see many beautiful green plants covered this land. Along its trip, the visitor could see beautiful natural panorama with high beautiful mountain background. At the top of Pangopango with its height 1.100 meters from sea level, the visitors could see a lot of beautiful natural panorama. Paddy fields, limestone hills until high blue mountain is covered with fog. It is appeared into our eyes. If the weather is good, we could see the whole view of Makale and ¾ Rantepao ( the capital city of North Toraja) is clearly to be seen from the top of Pangopango. To develop the Pangopango’s potential as the basic of environment tourism object, The Local Government of Tana Toraja Regency is making a new innovation. Nowadays, the access to the tourism of Pangopango is still built by making a new street. Pangopango has a wonderful natural panorama. So, the local government must manage this potential, said Theolifius Allorerung, the regent of Tana Toraja Regency. Except for its natural tourism, Pangopango has a potential as the area of agro-tourism. Along the area of pangopango, there is a fresh natural spring which never stop to produce fresh water. This spring is used of many people in Tana Toraja as drink and agriculture. By using this spring, it makes fertile soil. The production of agriculture and plantation is never contaminated with dangerous substances. Because, the farmers in this area only use traditional method to manage their farm. They never use chemical substances. So, it so health to eat their production. Herbal Life is the motto of their society. The local government has planned to make Pangopango as the agro-tourism. Every visitor who comes into Tana Toraja could eat whole of its herbal production of agriculture and plantation by picking them directly from local garden. Even, along the area of Pangopango will be made as the example of passion fruit, tamarillo, and carrot. In 2012, the local government of Tana Toraja regency had made a big budget for this planning. They spend about 2 billion rupiahs to build this are as agro – tourism, explained Theofilus, the regent of Tana Toraja Regency.
